After a succesful Adult Event #7, Patrishi Sports awarded for the 1st Time Adult Team Ranking Trophy to the Team Leader of the 1st Quarter of 2023: Train Hard Race Easy.!
Train Hard Race Race athletes has proven themselves both on an individual level with historical Record Breakers such as Jethro St. Fleur at Urataka Run and Jersey Leaders such as Andre Angela (Overall Leader), Giovanni Nicolaas (50+ Leader) and Riandra V/D Linde (Youth Leader). Additionally, its team roster has also proven itself as a collective unit showing top athletes in many categories!
There is a very tight race at the top of the Adult Team Ranking with Train Hard Race Easy. (456 pts) taking in the top spot while 2Fast4Usports (449 pts) remains very close and Team Pegasus (438 pts) in third place within striking distance. We await to see how this battle continues in the very busy 2nd Quarter!
The Team Ranking introduced in 2023, is about a collective group of athletes helping their team as a whole, this is the true definiton of a Team which supports each other and sustains the sport! The ultimate goal with the introduction of the Team Ranking is to keep track of the best Teams over the course of the whole year.
Give proper recognition to Teams for their performances over the whole year, not just at the End of Year Ceremony. Provide exposure to the teams to acquire more athletes and help with sponsorships. Lastly, motivate more teams to organize themselves over the whole year with a bigger stable of athletes training together, helping each other and competing together.
The points after the 1st Update have been added up with the points of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Update to create the Current Points Standings. Each Team accumulates Team Ranking Points based on their athletes placements in their Age Category at last week’s race. 1st Place in Category brings in 10 Team Ranking Points and a 10th place finish brings in 1 point for the Team. The best 10 points of the athletes in each team is added up for the Team Ranking. At the End of Year Ceremony we will prize the Top 5 Teams in each ranking. The team with the most points at the End of the Year will be crowned the Team of the Year!
