Indiana State’s Swimming and Diving’s Chloe Farro (Swimmer) and Claire Parsons (Freshman) claimed Missouri Valley Conference weekly honors as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
The Sycamore duo claimed the recognition for the first time of the 2023-24 season after helping guide Indiana State to sweeps in the pool this past weekend at both Milwaukee and Green Bay.
Farro took home three individual wins in the 50-, 100-yard (twice) Freestyle events and was on three of four winning relay teams for the Sycamores as Indiana State started the 2023-24 season with a pair of dominant wins over Milwaukee and Green Bay.
Farro anchored the ISU 200-yard Medley Relay team to open the competition against Milwaukee on Friday as the Sycamore quartet won the event by over 1.5 seconds. She followed up with the 50-yard and 100-yard Freestyle sweep winning the 100-yard by 1.26 seconds to highlight her day. She added swimming the second leg in the 400-yard Freestyle relay as the Sycamores won the event by three full seconds.
She followed up the next day winning the 100-yard Freestyle (52.06) by a full second, finishing second in the 200-yard (1:56.32), and anchoring the winning 200-yard Freestyle relay team that won by nearly four seconds.
